I suspect the Hogwarts Book as massive intent wards attached to it - any bad intent towards the children listed inside bars access - because of this the letters are automatically sent out by the Castle using the elves- they would only need to get human input when the child’s entry is left in limbo.
Eg: Harry his letters were destroyed no his placement was in limbo until the book got a decision to register.

Normally in such a case either the castle uses the sorting hat to inform the Headmaster or more likely the Deputy Headmaster of the situation - she then went to Dumbledore to complain at which point he took over telling her he’ll handle it

Dumbledore then most likely decided to tell the castle to keep trying then finally after all that massive muggle baiting he sent Hagrid to retrieve Harry and get his school things

This means Minerva having been assured the Headmaster was now handling Harry’s enrolment personally went back to her own work fully trusting him to do so.

You know I have yet to see the most obvious cross indication of this type of xover.
Namely the face that the surname Strange can obviously be a derivative of the HP Family name Lestrange.
Which means Dr. Steven Strange The Sorcerer Supreme might be the descendent of a Lestrange Squib Line.
This might possibly be why his Magic is so strong he has a Magical Core even if not strong enough for a wand - basically his Magical Core might be strong enough for a want but still augments and stabilises the manipulation of the energy Sorcerers make use of as well as supplying a physical anchor for the energy manipulation not mention as a being of Magical Descent he is genetically made for Magic use he just found a different Magic to use his natural genetic talents for.

I played with this in One Live Slythern so it is not a new thought.

The thought was that given how the number of ancestors double each generation basically
1stgen = 1 - the child
2ndgen = 2 - the parents
3rdgen = 4 - the grandparents
4thgen = 8 - the great,grandparents
5thgen = 16 - the great,great,grandparents
6thgen = 32 - the great,great,great,grandparents
7thgen = 64 - the great,great,great,great,grandparents
8thgen = 128 - the great,great,great,great,great,grandparents
9thgen = 256 - the great,great,great,great,great,great,grandparents

The whole concept of bloodbinding Grimoire,Books of Shadow etc and other objects to the Bloodline a but iffy the further away from the origonators generation it gets the weaker the link but also the number of people who are decended from that orginator would be rediculus and very few would be the mainline.

With that in mind they obviously had to update the bloodbinding on a fairly regular basis to cut the peopel able to acces such things done to a freasonable level.

After looking at those generation calculations and given the love of the number three and Seven for magicals I think it would end up being renwed on the third generation after the last bloodbind as so counting baxk from the child the last bloodbinding would be the great,grandparent.

eg: The Black Family say Arcturus dis the last bloodbinding so it would go Arcturus--Orion-1gen--Sirius/Regalus-2gen--one of their children was due to do the rebinding.

The nastly thing about this is that the generations of the younger Black bloodlines would end up cut out of the access when the new bloodbind occurs. It also means that if the main line dies after that bloodbind there is no obvious Heir Line except via bith order and sex males going first to continue the name.
I cant find a readable copy of the Black Family Tree but I think Wallburga was the generation after Orions so she and her siblings would normally be the last to have access through Arcturus after the next reset and that would only last until Orion had a grandson but it also meant the next generation of her particular Black Bloodline only had access until that child was born and all of their children would not have access at that point as the magic would solidify back into only the main bloodline having access.

Wallburga solved that by marrying Orion the Heir as any children they have would also have the DNA of her Black Bloodline so her grandson as would be binding her line as well not just the main line.

Plot wise it brings into question the marriage of Orion and Wallburga as you have to wonder if he was spelled or potioned into that marriage as the books made it seem like Orion was just enduring the marriage very not happy with it.

This could also be another reason for the disowning if it was Magical it could remove their bloodline from access in a Magical disowning ritual perhaps. The Bloodbinding might also have inbuilt boobytraps perhaps killing the mainline to get access could automatically remove your bloodline from the matrix given Maguc is mainly about intent.

I also suspect having the mainline die without a viable heir already with access might be a big thing as well aka the family having to gather and let Magic decide who they will bind it to and I doubt anyone plotting to have their bloodline stay secondary and primary Heirs if the main line dies as such a Ritual would probably let Magic see all that and include that knowledge in the Judging again the intnt factor in play.

The HP timeline is interesting on that front as Narcissa got pregnant with Draco after Regalus death and at the time Wallburga and the others thought Sirius disowned so they lost the Heirline and with Alphard also dead and only three daughters to their line the heirship would most likely reverted to the older Black birth bloodline because Wallburga's Black bloodline line was actually third the other brother was older but he had three daughters - so if it had reverted to bith order it meant the next Black Heirs would probably be either a Longbotton or a Crouch as the Weasley Line was disowned.

Huh? That gives Crouch Senior a viable reason to get rid of Sirius by shoving him into Askaban without a trial as it stopped him having children and with that ensuring he had a good chance of inheriting the Black title and vaults for the Crouch bloodline. It might also have been extra incentive for the Longbottom attack to remove the Longbottom's from being in line to inherit the Black line as they were next in line then Crouch if so I suspect Bellatrix would have killed Crouch Jr at the end of the raid to kill both off booth of the senior heirlines ahead of Draco.

So that was my thoughts now I just have to contemplate how everyone else had been plotting because the plot might be hidden but the sudden marriage of Orion and Wallburga had all the supplty of a bombarda in turning the families atention their way and working out the nature of that plot.

OH dam you could easily have Ablus plotting the death of the Potter family to get the cloak as it was a Peverell Heirloom so probably bloodbound to the family so given his obsession with the Deathly Hallows he could easily have been arranging for the family to die out to get the cloak perhaps believing he could bind it to himslef with the Potters dead as he already had the Wand and could use sympathetic Magic to do so. It was only after he borrowed it and tested it that he realised it wouldn't work Tom Riddle was next in line to get the cloak as he was both a Peverell decendent and had the Stone. So plot plot plot on his part followed!

Hell he might have truely started working against Riddle while he was at school first because he was a vicius little boy and got sorted into Slytherin so his best candidate to create a new dark lord which he would eventually need to fight to secure his place in history as the next Merlin by defeating two dark lords.

When Tom set the basilisk on the school and accidently killed Myrtle as he didn't really care about a Ravenclaw Muggleborn dying but he realised he realised Tom could not only speak to snakes but open the chamber so descended from both Slytherin which would have just confirmed his being perfect as his Dark lord candidate.

Then he came back from summer holidays wearing the resurection stone therefore a Gaunt and decended from the Middle Peverell brother and therefore in line to inherit the ring. So Tom became a double target in Albus eyes his next dark lord and the holder of the resurection stone.

He probably didn't get confirmation that the Potter's had the cloak until James brought it to school as there were no new mainline Potter Heirs during his time as Teacher and Headmaster until then so no cloak brought to school until the seventies.

The nine realms I sort of got the impression each of the nine planets connecting the nine realms of Yagdrassil were actually the only active/occupied/living planets in each realm aka a lot of planets in each realm without life as they never actually mention other life bearing planets in each realm - given this the whole infinity stone thing is totally wasted can you say terraforming using the stones it probably wouldn’t take all of them either they just want viable ecosystems not intelligent life added it’s for colonisation - plus they could also fix the dead or damaged worlds of the other nine realm - talk about idiots

Earth is very geo-active between the various extinction level events, ice ages etc life on the planet is actually very precarious so the planet created its own maintenance crew to fix the aftermath of such events eg a species died out of in the process of doing so they can fix it - geological problems they could fix or at least mitigate them etc
I can see several previous attempts to create such a crew but they didn’t work out too powerful and capricious aka Gods, Sidhe etc Magical Humans are the latest attempt and it probably worked until the Witch Hunts - which when you think about it is very ironic as the Church was basically attempting to eliminate the equivalent of God’s repair crew for his creation.

Harry’s Island was created by the Diagon Shopkeepers with the screwed idea of bypassing ‘the no free sample law’ by saying it was already owned by Harry that they just fixed it which is technically true as they used Harry’s newspaper clipping and notes as the base of the Island
- even so I suspect that down the line someone (Fudge, Umbridge etc) will try to take it away from Harry so I could see a mad legal scramble to find a way to stop them from doing so.
In such a case a solution could easily be found in the obscure, ancient forgotten laws because given that the Island is a Pocket Dimension it can be basically Classed as an Underhill, and any laws concerning Underhill Ownership might be the way to go there - truthfully you could have lots of fun with that idea
- I could easily see such a thing as an ‘Underhill Treaty’ being in existence about such ownership because I can easily see Wizard/Sidhe-Fae-HighElf conflicts happening in the past just as easily as the Wizard/Goblin Wars so such a Treaty being created makes sense to end such conflicts and magically enforced. In fact it could have been the very beginnings of such things as Magical Contracts for Wizards.
- The reasons such was needed is simple Wizards are stupid and greedy and I can easily see them coveting the Underhill’s especially as Muggle/Magical relations got bad which was going on in Merlin’s time and in the Founders times and and just got worse as time progressed until the Statute went into effect but before then with all the Human Magical’s hunted the Magicals would see the Underhill as places of refuge safe from the Muggles hunting them.
- therefore in their fear and terror they tried to take them to be safe getting repulsed by the more powerful Sidhe and eventually a Treaty was created possibly by Merlin and because the Sidhe didn’t trust the Wizards as they were short lived and would forget and claim ignorance of the treaty to get out of the consequences of breaking it I could easily see the rules of the Treaty being written into the Leylines and therefore magically enforced
- also the Wizards of the day would not have agreed to the Treaty without some gain for them as the reason for wanting the Underhills still existed namely them being hunted so possibly the bribe for the Magicals agreeing to the Treaty sealing was the Sidhe agreeing to the creation of a few Underhill for the Wizards such as Camelot and other mythical places that can’t be found - which also nicely explains that mystery.
Add in such places whose access rules are lost to time or sealed to a certain bloodline that either died or went squib
- in Camelot’s case I could easily see the Arthur-Mordred thing causing the sealing - Merlin could have prevented Mordred taking Camelot by sealing it not just to Arthur’s bloodline but Arthur himself aka his soul creating the once and future king Prophesy thing.
The Shopkeepers could also easily compound their claim of it always being Harry’s they just fixed it idea by claiming their payment was in the knowledge and practical experience gained by the fixing enabling them to create their own Pocket Dimension in the sewer under Diagon Alley giving them much needed expansion room.
Of course that would probably lead to someone like Umbitch trying to say they are lying as there was no record of the Potters having an Underhill etc (Here it could lead back to the Peverell and Death (Celtic Death God as it is an Underhill and technically Ignotus Peverell won the Deathly Hallows Game by surviving and greeting Death as an old friend) - the Underhill for the family would actually be a great prize when you think about it and one worth gambling their life to win
- another way to go on explaining ownership would be to make it an Evans legacy passed down the Line to Lily as she was Magical enough to access it making it hers this is also easily done as well as their ancestry is unknown and with the emerald green eyes of Lily and Harry Sidhe blood is very believable
- plus as no one really know what happened that Halloween the semi destruction of an Underhill as a consequence of reflecting the killing curse is believable basically it would be very easily to imply the Lily used sacrificial magic to protect Harry using her own death to lay the protection on Harry combined with the Underhill (a very powerful magical construct) to take the brunt of the curse away from Harry (basically double sacrifice herself and the family legacy aka the Underhill to save her son that night and succeed as it not just reflected but augmented the AK back at Voldy - basically the AK returned to the caster augmented by the power of the Underhill.
This unfortunately is actually something many would believe more readily than a Muggleborn Witch did something to save her son and beat the AK - that innate prejudice is a reason Harry not Lily got made famous that night. The prejudice of the WW against Muggleborn made them ignore Lily. But add Lily being of Sidhe Ancestry it all changes as it justifies the inclusion of Lily as she no longer is seen as a Muggleborn but Sidhe Born so naturally powerful enough to to be able to do such a thing.
This also gives another legal protection to the Island as it is then seen as Lily’s Dowry which would probably up her perceived social standing immensely as Sidhe Ancestry is one thing but actual inherited ownership of an Underhill implies Sidhe Royalty and frankly Lily having an Underhill for her Dowry would make people gasp
- not Umbritch of course she’d just see the not human ancestor etc

I think in HIH the Oblivators and Unpeakables had to work very hard to handle the consequences of magical children doing wish magic of the transfiguration type - just contemplate the creation of fairy and unicorn constructs by little witches etc or creatures from fantasy or sci-fi books and movies created in such a fashion by children especially the Muggleborns
The Unspeakables would have to evaluate them decide if they are useful or too dangerous to exist - finite would probably get rid of the dangerous ones but things like fairies and unicorns or dragons would be useful as they could be used to add to the genetic pool of those creatures
Situations like with the Dwarf Mammoths that can’t be hidden and already breeding would take other handling - in such a case they’d have to work on a Muggle believable explanation for them to exist truthfully they just have to find a place such animals could have escaped being found namely remote or inaccessible enough that such animals could have existed without being discovered
- in the modern era all they have to do is let the muggle scientists decide such things and then find matching ecological area in remote places to set the seen including more constructs etc
New magical creature creations I think get evaluated mainly by usefulness - or maybe it depends on if they have breed by the time found and have become real creatures so can’t be handled with a finite - fire crabs anyone they are insanely dangerous but useful as they grow jewels so a bit of greed involved there in letting them exist

I’ve seen stories when Lily was descended from Godric and they are great so no complaints .
I just found a type of link between Godric and Lily - Godric had red hair and green eyes. It works but then I have also seen the green eyes and parceltongue used as Lily and Harry descended from Salazar just as easily - on the other hand the emerald eyes of Lily and Harry seem a bit outside the normal human eye colour range so it would also be easy to have a nonhuman ancestry - Sidhe/Fae perhaps imagination is king there
Interesting enough the piccy of James didn’t have the dark brown or black hair but brown which is probably where Sirius blood bonding/adopting idea comes from although it is interesting to note Ignotus Peverell pic had black hair.
My take on the whole potter grandparent naming was because the author originally had the Charlus/Dorea but thought oops when she decided to marry him to Ginny who is closely related to the Blacks both side of her family so a bit to close to have Harry also have Black grandparents so she changed it leaving the whole Charlus/Dorea who were already on the Black Family Tree in limbo.
Also interesting to note was that Linfed and his wife had seven children of which Hardwin was the oldest and Iolanthe Peverell wasn’t an only child either as the info states she was the eldest actual number of her siblings unknown but probably sisters as she inherited the cloak which would normally go to the male heir who carry on the family name. I also states Iolanthe came from Godric’ Hollow want to bet the Potter Cottage was originally Peverell property and it and the cloak were Iolanthe’s dowry.
Godric also came from the Hollow and it ended up named after him so if there was also a previous Peverell/Gryffindor marriage the cottage might have originally been a Gryffindor Dowry making it Gryffindor-Peverell-Potter ownership time wise via marriage.
Of other interest is that it seems only Hardwin took the name Potter in honour of his father who was nicknamed the potterer for pottering around his garden so what surnames the rest of Hardwin’s siblings took is open to speculation the sisters would taken their husbands name but any brothers would have chosen there own surname just as Hardwin did - you could have some very creative fun creating family Names and links with that.
Plus while the line has Linfed as the start of record it is never actually stated he was Muggleborn only that he was a Potion Master - Surnames were for the nobility and Clans in those times common folk were identified by where they lived so if they moved their identifier changed as well so the Potters could very easily stretch back into history as magical - in fact the very fact people got identified by where they lived would make it very easy in those days to hide a families true origin although if the Hogwarts record book also listed parents names it would have become harder to do as time past, if the child’s entry got removed if home schooled as Hogwarts was fairly new so Wizarding family’s could get away with hiding their origin that way - I can see a family being hunted doing that very easily.

House Elves were never properly defined in the cannon Harry Potter Books but I tend to explain them as being a symbiotic race that gathers magic from the bonds they make. I see them a type of Brownie a Fae Race that lived in Symbiosis with Magical Places feeding off the Ambient Energy in return for tending and protecting the area. As those Magic rich habitats shrunk the Brownie began to starve and die but they found out they could get the Magic they needed from a bond with the land Magical Humans lived on for a number of years hence the Brownie Legends where the Brownies were much more independent. This does have some corrolation with the Cannon Books as it seems Magical Humans generate Magical Energy which is why their Homes attract Magical animals such as Garden Gnomes etc. The Brownies were also attracted to this energy but were helpful not pests over time as the Magical Places and Forests start to disappear or got destroyed making Magic Infused places like Hogwarts they could bond to rare more and more of them had to live this way and the magic was being drained but the Brownies found out they could fix this if they bonded directly with the Magical Humans either as a Family or singular which stopped the Magical Drain of the Land but had the downside of causing them to evolve into House Elves this situation probably got worse after the Statute of Secrecy was put into effect as the Statute meant they couldn’t bond to a non-warded Magical place so any Magical places outside the Wizarding World Governments Control were barred to them.

As such I would think House Elf Breeding would have decreased drastically after the Statute went into effect as it would depend heavily on the amount of magic in the environment or the bond they can siphon to survive the conception and gestation then after the Elfling is born they need the work to feed them magic as well as food until they were old enough to siphon and regulate their own magic enough to create their own bond. Work probably also helps them regulate the Magic they siphon given how gungho they are for that so creating a new Elfling would be a major undertaking as their would not only have to be enough Magic but an actual need for the Elfling on the work front to justify the creation of an Elfling due to the energy drain otherwise they are robbing Peter to pay Paul so to speak. When you think about it there is a fine line between Symbiotic and Parasitic and it would be something the Elves would be very conscious of. I can see it as the ultimate Taboo the Line no sane Elf would ever willingly cross possibly even be the ultimate unforgivable for an Elf.

Without that justification they might be reduced to breeding on a replacement system only as an Elf grows old or die. This would actually explain Winky’s horror and depression at being given clothes as her family had probably held the bond with the Crouch Family for centuries and the shame of losing one of the prestigious bond positions would weigh heavy for her it also explains her looking after the younger Crouch without question Junior was of breeding age so a chance to continue the Crouch family bond and Winky to have an Elfling in the future as a Female Elf she would feel the loss of that possibility more than a male Elf.

Of course that doesn’t explain why they aren’t making new family bonds with Muggleborns – perhaps that is due to a number of reasons the first they are like Hermonie and just see them as slaves so recoil at the idea in horror and never look into the truth of it all and secondly the Purebloods probably made it a rule that you needed to have a certain level of Magical Background either Ancestry or Magical Land to have an Elf etc. It could also be the simple fact that the Muggleborns tend to have to return to the Muggle world to find work so not something an Elf could do as they would break the Statute if they followed them into the Muggle world.

Lucius contradictory reaction to losing Dobby given that he didn’t really value him as seen by the abuse could in that case be due to him being a Male Elf not a Breeding Female therefore of lessor value in Lucius eyes. Mainly because getting a new generation of Elf out of him was a much more complex and expensive undertaking because he was male as it would take a lot of bartering plus Dobby was very independent and wilful for a House Elf which would not make him a very marketable Elf Stud in the Social Circles Malfoy moved in. But when he lost Dobby in that fashion reality struck as he suddenly realised the Malfoy’s not only lost their unpaid servant but also just dropped down a leg socially as he literally dropped to the bottom of the Elfling bonding adoption list as the abuse of Dobby and his freeing story would spread far and wide so he’d have to pay a tremendous amount to get another Elf to replace Dobby as he wouldn’t be able to go through normal channels but have to pay other families for an unneeded elf which would probably be old so a temporary fix while he also paid a lot of money to have an Elfling made to permanently replace Dobby. Hence his total anger at Harry tricking him into freeing Dobby it was rage at the loss of social standing and the future money he just cost him.

As people have been noticing I lost my new Web Site last week.

I changed over to a new system with the same provodor due to the NBN thing going on here in Sydney Ausralia.

They were going to delete all my old stuff despite the guy who set it swearing black and blue they wouldn't so I tried to contact them by phone unfortunately they also have a brand new automated phone system that offers you a choice of waiting on line or them calling back.

Waiting on line was a complete dud you hang on and then about the time they say the waiting time is over it bloodly hangs up on you so you wasted al that time for nothing.

The automated call returnsystem isn't much better it does call back exactly when it says it will but then asks you to press one to accept the call. Presing one does not bloody work so it just goes through same speel asking you to press one each time until it reaches its cut off number and then hangs up.

So that cut out direct contact

Go the email route and instead of a damn day it took them a week to get back to me and that person messed it all up he deleted everything but my oldest email which is nice is it is the most important being twenty years old and having everying even government stuff connected to it but ralitively useless when dealing with the actual account as it was all on the new account they made me on changover from dial-up.

So I go through the Phone thing once more and it hasn't been fixed as they said they were doing so had to use my oldest email to contact them and that was last week and I am still waiting on them to contact me.

As you can imagine I am beyond annoyed by the entire thing
